X APCEN National Meeting — The Work of Cristina Reis
Over the course of a day, a conversation unfolded around the work of Cristina Reis, nourished by testimonies and analyses from several guests. Seeking to avoid programmes made to be rushed through (and their inevitable states of continuous delay), the choice was made for a small group of guests and a relatively generous amount of time for the conversations they would spark.
The day began with Luísa Cruz's testimony about the daily reality of her ongoing working relationship with Cristina Reis. Maria João Brilhante addressed the relationship between Cristina Reis's work and the dramaturgical construction of the productions at Teatro da Cornucópia. In the afternoon, Mariana Sá Nogueira spoke about the relationship between Cristina Reis's sets and costumes and painting. José Capela — organiser of this meeting — looked at Cristina Reis's scenography as a discourse on scenography. Finally, Luís Santos, Cristina Reis's assistant for several years, conversed with the scenographer and costume designer herself.
The event took place in the Salão Nobre of the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, where all were welcome!
