Rui Azevedo was born in Porto in 1979. He trained in Arts and Design, completing a technical course in Set Design at RTP and a course in Architectural Lighting at Alingsas (SE), and attended the Lighting and Sound Design course at the Higher School of Music and Performing Arts. He works as a set designer, lighting designer and technical manager, creating various sets, lighting designs and shows in collaboration with the following organisations: Radar 360, Estrutura, Quarteto Contratempus, Pé de Vento Crl, Apuro – Cultural and Philanthropic Association, Dyprocess (Fr), Circuito Sesc (BR), Plateia Protagonista, Assemblea Teatro - Associazione (It), AAON, Casa da Música, TNSJ, Seiva Trupe, Jobra-Conservatory of Music and Theatre, ESMAE, Fogo Lento, Imaginar do Gigante, Ventos e Tempestades, Art'Imagem, EntreTanto (BR), amongst others, whilst also providing training and support for the creation and presentation of shows.
